ASHA Healthcare

ACC are delighted to announce ASHA Healthcare as the main shirt and ground sponsor for the 2016 season

Welcome to all our Sponsors and supporters to the 2017 season.

Looking forward to the new season, we are extremely delighted and grateful that ASHA Healthcare are again our Shirt and ground sponsors for 2017. This support allows us to continue to compete, as we have done for many years, at the very upper levels of the highly competitive Derbyshire Cricket League.

Our junior section is again looking extremely promising, with us now being able to field five Junior Teams across a number of age groups, particularly exciting is our first venture for a few seasons into the Under 17 Age Group. All this remains possible through the tremendously valuable support of Alfreton Town Council, whose continued help and support to our Junior Section remains as vital as ever to the Clubs future progression and development.

Another exciting initiative that we are supporting this year, is the ECB’s All Stars Cricket, this is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. Please see the ECB or ACC website for information on how your child can get involved.

The Cricket Committee have been extremely busy throughout the winter and I am delighted to welcome some new faces this year to ACC, I hope you enjoy your season, from what I have seen at our Winter Nets, we now have every reason to be optimistic about the coming season in all age groups, in both ability and player numbers. This will be further bolstered by our overseas player for the season, Bilawal Iqbal.

Good luck to our Captains this year, Jake Simpson, Owen Comins and Ian Danby. You all have the ability and experience required to bring in some great results this year. Captains, “Play hard, but play fair” and leave the competition on the pitch, be magnanimous to your opponents whatever the result.

Thanks to our Head of Cricket John Aspinall, and the rest of his Cricket Committee, your hard work and commitment coupled with good organisation and communication is really starting to bear fruit.

Please support the Club by your visits to games, becoming a Social Member of the Club or simply by mentioning ACC to as many people in the Town as possible, we are an open and embracing club, fortunate to have fantastic facilities that support many other social activities and events, in a beautiful setting.

Bring on the Summer!!
